Kathrin Hofmeister has been working as a freelance garden journalist for magazines and online media since 1998. The gardening book author has already published several reference books on special plant and design topics and has been reporting on practical gardening life for over ten years in her gardening column in the daily newspaper for the greater Trier region.
Kathrin Hofmeister began her professional career at the internationally renowned Weihenstephan perennial garden in Freising. After completing an apprenticeship as a horticulturist for perennials and woody plants with distinction and graduating with a degree in cultural economics from the University of Passau, she completed a traineeship as an editor at the Burda School of Journalism with its regular editorial office MEIN SCHÖNER GARTEN. Since then she has worked for various magazines from the Burda publishing house in the field of ornamental and kitchen gardens, plant portraits and garden reports.
